An Outage is when an Item status moves to unavailable due to expected or unexpected events. For example, the Item is out for repair or faulty.
Customers and Users can also subscribe to RSS feeds for updates regarding Item outages, which they can bookmark to easily access through their Web browser.
To view a list of Outages for the Items:
At
the Login Page select the View Outages hyperlink
A list of Outages is displayed. If the Outage is the result of a Planned
Outage, is displayed in the Planned
column.
Select
the Item Type link for more detailed information about the affected
Item.
Select
the Item Category link to access the Service and Component filter
view of Items related to the current offline Item
Within the Relationship table, select the Item # hyperlink to view
other Items possible affected by the offline Item. Toggle the Display
View, as required.
Click
Done to return to the Outages list view.
If
enabled, Outages can be searched by a Customer. Enter the Customer's
email address into the search box provided to generate a list of unavailable
Items that belong to a Customer.
