Meeting Policy and Distribution Services Requirements for UNIX

The UNIX server where you install Policy and Distribution Services must meet the following system requirements:

libstdc++-6.21-2.9.0.0.i386.rpm or later also required

Red Hat 7.3 requires creation of a symbolic link 1

1 To enable a successful installation for Red Hat 7.3, after installing type the following at prompt/shell:

In -s /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 /usr/lib/libstds++-libc6.1-1.so.2

This will create a symbolic link to the current stdlibc++.

IMPORTANT:  The hostname of the UNIX server where you install Policy and Distribution Services must be the same as its DNS short name.
