The UNIX server where you install Policy and Distribution Services must meet the following system requirements:
1 To enable a successful installation for Red Hat 7.3, after installing type the following at prompt/shell:
In -s /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 /usr/lib/libstds++-libc6.1-1.so.2
This will create a symbolic link to the current stdlibc++.
IMPORTANT: The hostname of the UNIX server where you install Policy and Distribution Services must be the same as its DNS short name.

The Policy/Distribution database stores log messages detailing the successes and failures of Distribution processing for reporting purposes. The server where it resides must meet the system requirements listed in Policy and Distribution Services Minimum Requirements for Windows Servers .
