Oracle JDBC Remote Driver

Oracle* JDBC* Remote Driver v8.04 uses Java* sockets to connect directly to the Oracle database. It provides its own implementation of a TCP/IP version of the Oracle Net8 and complies with JDBC v1.22. The driver is written entirely in Java, is platform independent, does not require Oracle software on the client side, and connects to any Oracle database version 7.2.3 or higher.

This driver does require a TCP/IP listener on the server side. Please consult your Oracle for NetWare® documentation for TCP/IP listener details. Any applet or servlet running on the Novell JVM for NetWare can use this driver.

Oracle* JDBC* Remote Driver v8.15 uses Java* sockets to connect directly to any Oracle database version 7.2.3 or later.

Oracle JDBC Remote Driver is unsupported. This download is provided only as a courtesy to our development community and is no longer in active development at Novell.

We strongly recommend that you do not use Oracle JDBC Remote Driver v8.04 in a production environment.
