Reinstalling Components That Failed to Install

If you immediately review the installation log after running the Installation Wizard and discover that some components failed to install, and you have not yet started any ZfS agents or services, or started Java*, then you can simply reinstall using the Installation Wizard again.

To immediately reinstall components that failed to install:

  1. Fix the problems related to the failed components.

  2. Rerun the Installation Wizard.

  3. Follow the instructions in the appropriate installation section:

  4. When running the Installation Wizard, select only the options applicable to the components that failed to install.

You only need to use the instructions in the following sections if, after running the Installation Wizard, you did not review the installation log to discover whether any components failed to install, and then started Java, Policy and Distribution Services, or the Inventory services:
