Web-Based Alerting and Alert Mute Capability Top the List of Feature Upgrades in Latest Version of NDS eDirectory Monitoring and Alerting Solution Scottsdale, Ariz., (March 13, 2001) NetPro Computing, Inc. today announced the release of DS Expert 3.2, the latest version of its award-winning Novell® Directory Services® (NDS®) eDirectory monitoring and alerting solution. DS Expert ensures the health of NDS eDirectory by proactively monitoring the directory 24x7 and sending real-time alerts on all key points of failure before problems degrade network performance. DS Expert 3.2 provides administrators additional control over the health of NDS eDirectory with two new alerting features: web-based alert logs and new alert "mute" functionality. With DS Expert 3.2's new web-based alert log, administrators can verify the status of their directory's health from any location, at any time by viewing their NDS eDirectory alert logs through any web browser. The alert muting feature expands on DS Expert's customized alert settings, allowing administrators to "snooze" an alert for a specified period of time, or indefinitely. With alert muting, administrators can prioritize alerts, focusing first on the critical alerts that require immediate attention.
