Novell
Developer Releases Version 2.0 of Enterprise-Level
eDirectory and GroupWise Enhancement Utility
Product Unveiled at BrainShare®
2001
Salt Lake City, Utah - March 21, 2001 Today at BrainShare®
2001, Omni Technology Solutions Inc. (Omni-TS) unveiled Version 2.0 of EuiMU
(Enterprise User Import and Management Utility), its enterprise-level Novell®
NDS® eDirectory and Novell GroupWise® utility.
One of Version 2.0's most powerful enhancements is its ability to automatically
create eDirectory and GroupWise users based on EuiMU profiles. These profiles
can then be linked to any student or human resources database, allowing tens,
hundreds, or thousands of users to be automatically importedall without
administrator intervention.
"EuiMU has turned out to be the perfect solution for managing our 16,000
user accounts," says Richard McNerney, Network Manager at New School
University in New York. "We plan to connect Version 2.0 to our Banner
Student Management System so that we can automatically create and delete student
users. By adding this new feature to EuiMU, Omni-TS has made it possible for
our network administrators to focus on higher-level tasks." www.newschool.edu
George Casey of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C adds, "EuiMU
1.3.5 has been invaluable to us during our migration to NetWare 5.1. Version
2.0 will completely automate the creation of student user accounts. The speed
and ease with which EuiMU can help administrators get large numbers of eDirectory
and GroupWise users up and running is outstanding." www.georgetown.edu
"We're very excited about Version 2.0," says Aldo Zanoni, President
of Omni-TS. "Automatic user creation will make life much easier for administrators
of large enterprise-level networks." EuiMU is the leading automated eDirectory
and GroupWise user-creation tool compatible with NetWare 4.x, 5.x, eDirectory
8.5, Novell Account Manager for SUN Solaris, Linux, Windows NT/2000, GroupWise
5.5, and GroupWise 5.5 EP.
"EuiMU was first developed so administrators of large school networks
could create, manage, and delete hundreds of eDirectory and GroupWise users,
accounts, and home directories in mere minutes," Zanoni says. "Based
on user feedback, we'll continue to serve the needs of our customers by adding
requested features to EuiMU."
Demonstration versions of EuiMU and Omni-TS' other eDirectory/GroupWise enhancement
utilities are available for download at www.omniclass.net.
