Recent SecuGen developments include the announcement that the company has received a YES, Tested and Approved Certification from Novell for the SecuGen Novellâ

This certification associates SecuGens products with Novells Net services software and software solutions and provides secure authentication to network resources using a familiar form factor.
Additionally, SecuGen Canada announced that Credit Union Central of British Columbia (Central) has selected its EyeD Hamsterä biometric device for authentication to its Central Security Portal. Central Security Portal is a gateway to a large array of (financial) applications provided by Central, which is used by staffs of credit unions and corporate clients across Canada. It allows for integration of these applications from a users point of view and provides greater flexibility and security for network access.
OEMs and Access Control Makers demand durable biometric technology. SecuGens core readers were designed to resist harsh conditions found in access control use.
After reviewing other vendors, many OEMs are turning to SecuGen for its high quality, durable, affordable products. The recent advances in biometrics, such as improved performance, lowered cost, and ergonomics, have allowed the technology to be incorporated into many commercial applications, especially physical access control and PC peripherals. OEMs who have completed their proof of concept and beta testing for fingerprint technology conclude that their systems readers must be durable to withstand the harsh conditions of continuous use by people. SecuGen provides what OEMs and other integrators want: performance and durability.
