INTELLIUN INCORPORATES NOVELL'S NDS eDIRECTORY WITH THE VIRTUAL ENTERPRISE (VE)

INELLIUN further advances eBusiness Application Automation by combining its innovative technologies with that of strategic partners

PLANO, TX (June 27, 2001) INTELLIUN, the leading innovator in eBusiness Application Automation, announced today that it has signed an agreement with Novell (NASDAQ: NOVL), the leading provider of Net services software, to incorporate Novell's NDSĀ® eDirectory as the preferred data repository for INTELLIUN's flagship product, The Virtual Enterprise (VE). INTELLIUN selected eDirectory for its broad acceptance and multi-platform support as well as its inherent scalability, manageability and security. VE is a Java eBusiness platform that capitalizes on existing middleware products like J2EE application servers, database drivers, and directory providers, to deliver an environment for rapidly developing, integrating, and deploying eBusiness solutions. VE's innovative approach significantly simplifies the development effort, reduces the required skill sets, and radically cuts the development time by 30 fold or more. Integrating VE with eDirectory provides a robust and secure platform for highly federated and complex eBusiness solutions.

"We are evaluating several partnerships to complement our offerings and to deliver a fully integrated next-generation eBusiness platform," said Iyad Jabri, President and CEO of INTELLIUN "Novell as a partner, and their eDirectory technology, will play an integral part in delivering world-class solutions to our customers." VE layers on top of Sun's (NASDAQ: SUNW) Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) specification, which creates a natural synergy between INTELLIUN and J2EE providers.

"By combining the power and capabilities of VE and eDirectory, two products that represent the leading edge of software technology, customers gain a distinct competitive advantage in their eBusiness initiatives," said Ed Anderson, director of product management for Novell. "We're pleased to partner with INTELLIUN in delivering advanced eBusiness infrastructure."

The VE NDS eDirectory is now available as a VE/Plug, which includes license for the eDirectory. For pricing and upgrade information contact sales@intelliun.com.
