Novell Managed Storage Platforms
Storage Manager performs server-to-server communications to our servers, including the following servers and their volumes as noted:

Novell NetWare 6.5 SP8 (the latest SP and patches only) for the Novell Storage Services (NSS) volumes
IMPORTANT: Storage Manager supports on the latest support pack version of NetWare, which is currently NetWare 6.5 SP8). For information about the NetWare lifecycle support, see http://support.novell.com/lifecycle/ and type NetWare in the Quick Search field.
- Open Enterprise Server 1 SP1 or later, with the NSS volume or network control program-enabled volume
- Open Enterprise Server 2 or later, with the NSS volume or network control program-enabled volume
- Open Enterprise Server 11 SP1 with the January 2013 Maintenance release or later
Warning: Data from NetWare 6.5 Support Pack 2 or later could have file and folder names with UTF-8 characters that earlier versions of NetWare don't support. If this is a possibility, do not use these platforms as target or vault paths. We recommend you use the latest support pack available for your particular platform on all production servers.
Network Attached Storage Devices
Storage Manager does not support Network Attached Storage devices in a NetIQ eDirectory environment.
