Addressing rules are text-replacement rules that are applied to addresses when messages are sent. Addressing rules search in addresses for specified text and replace the original text with alternate text. For example, an addressing rule can enable users to type a shortened form of a long email address. Typically, users select recipients from an address book, so the general applicability of addressing rules is limited.

The User Move Status tool helps you track progress as you move users and resources from one post office to another.
While a GroupWise user account is being moved, the POA in the source post office and the POA in the destination post office communicate back and forth. The move process progresses through various steps and statuses, which include the following:
Destination Post Office Updated: The destination POA has updated the destination post office database with the user's account information. At this point, the user account exists in the new location and appears in the GroupWise Address Book with the new location information.
Source Post Office Updated: The source POA has removed the user from the source post office database. At this point, the user can no longer access the mailbox at the old location.
Moving Mailbox Information: The POAs have finished exchanging administrative information and are ready to move items from the old mailbox to the new mailbox.
Sending Mailbox Inventory List: The source POA sends the destination POA a list of all the mailbox items that it should expect to receive.
Send Item Request: The destination POA starts requesting items from the source POA and the source POA responds to the requests.
Completed Retrieving Items: The destination POA has received all of the items on its mailbox inventory list.
Move Completed: After all of the user's mailbox items have arrived in the destination post office, the user's original account in the source post office is deleted and the user move is finished.
Unavailable: The User Move Status utility cannot gather status information for destination post offices that are running POAs older than GroupWise 6.5. Status information for users moving to older post offices displays as Unavailable.
If communication between the source POA and the destination POA is interrupted, the source POA automatically retries sending items every 12 hours until all items have been successfully retrieved or until seven days have passed, whichever comes first.
User Move Status Record List: Lists users and resources that are in the process of being moved, along with the domain and post office they are being moved to, their current status, and any errors that have occurred during the move.
The user moves into post offices in this domain are listed.
Refresh: Updates the user move status information. The list does not refresh automatically.
Clear All Complete: Removes all users from the list for which the Last Move Status column displays Move Complete.
Pending Items: Select a user, then click Pending Items to display detailed information about items belonging to that user that have not yet been moved to the destination post office (perhaps because problems were encountered when trying to move them). This information can help determine the importance of moving residual items that are still pending after all other items have been successfully moved.
Retry/Restart: Select user, then click Retry/Restart to display options for handling a user move that has stopped progressing for some reason.
Force Complete: Select a user, then click Force Complete to stop the user move process, stop the source POA from retrying to send items, and set the user status to Move Completed.
Use this option if the source POA is still retrying to send items that have not yet moved successfully, but the user is satisfied with the current mailbox contents. This situation can typically be avoided by running Mailbox/Library Maintenance on the mailbox before moving the user account.
Clear Status: Select a user, then click Clear Status to remove the user from the list, regardless of its current status. When the status changes, the user reappears in the list.

You can customize how the GroupWise Address Book displays in the GroupWise client for each domain in your GroupWise system. By default, the GroupWise Address Book is configured to display the following fields:
Name (required)
Office Phone
Title
E-Mail Address
You can remove optional fields and make additional fields available. You can also select whether the addresses are sorted by first name/last name or last name/first name.
The Address Book configuration you establish becomes the default configuration for new GroupWise users in the domain. Changes to Address Book configuration do not affect existing users.
In the GroupWise client, users can change which fields are displayed, change the field order, and change the address sort order, so that their Address Books display differently from your default configuration. However, users cannot display fields that you have not added on the Address Book tab.

Select this option to prevent the contents of the Description field in the Admin console from displaying in the Comments field in the GroupWise client.

Select Override next to the Internet addressing option that you want to change, then select the setting for this domain.
The allowed address formats are supported for incoming messages and for POP3/IMAP4 logins. Messages can be delivered to recipients if any of the allowed formats have been used in the incoming email address.
Select the address formats that you want the GWIA to accept into your GroupWise system. If a message arrives with any other address format, the message is not delivered to the recipient, and the sender receives an undeliverable notification.
IMPORTANT:Because the allowed email address formats apply to POP3/IMAP4 logins, do not deselect User Name@Internet domain name if you have POP3/IMAP4 users. This will prevent them from logging in to their POP3/IMAP4 accounts with their GroupWise email addresses, and using a different login format will be inconvenient for them.
The GWIA can work with the following email address formats that are based on user-name information:
User Name@Internet domain name
Last Name.First Name@Internet domain name
First Name.Last Name@Internet domain name
First Initial Last Name@Internet domain name
User Name.Post Office@Internet domain name
The preferred address format is used for email addresses in the GroupWise Address Book and in the To field of outgoing messages. Recipients of messages from your GroupWise system reply to email addresses in the preferred address format.
Select the default Internet domain name for email addresses in this domain.
For Incoming Mail, Recipients Are Known Exclusively by This Internet Domain Name: Accepts only email addressed to the selected Internet domain name, even if another valid Internet domain name is used. A valid Internet domain name is any domain name defined at the system level (System > Internet Addressing > Internet Domains).
For example, suppose that your system has two Internet domain names: example.com and gw.example.com. You select gw.example.com as the Internet domain name for this GroupWise domain and select this option. Joe Smith, a user in this domain with a user ID of jsmith, would receive messages addressed to jsmith@gw.example.com but not messages addressed to jsmith@example.com, even though example.com is a valid Internet domain name for your GroupWise system.
Select the default Internet Agent (GWIA) for outbound messages for this domain.

More > Replicate: Broadcasts current domain information throughout your GroupWise system.
In general, replication of object information occurs automatically. However, because unavoidable events such as power outages and hardware failures can disrupt network connectivity, information in various GroupWise databases might become inconsistent.
The best way to perform replication is to be connected to the domain that owns the object that is inconsistent in your GroupWise system. The next best way to perform replication is to be connected to the primary domain. This is because the primary domain sends a request to the owning domain for the correct information, and then broadcasts the correct information to all secondary domains.
